Privacy Policy
Paigon ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights regarding that information. By using Paigon at paigonco.com, you consent to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated automatically through your use of the platform:
- Account information — email address, username, and password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication; passwords are never stored in plaintext)
- Identity verification data — legal name, date of birth, government ID, and address when required for withdrawals or compliance with financial regulations
- Payment information — deposit history, withdrawal requests, and credit balance. Card details are processed exclusively by Stripe and are never stored on Paigon's servers. We receive only a tokenized payment reference and transaction metadata from Stripe.
- Game data — match history, win/loss records, in-game timing and movement data, room codes, and performance statistics. This data is used for provably-fair verification and anti-cheat monitoring.
- Device and connection data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and approximate geolocation. IP addresses are used for fraud detection, restricted-jurisdiction enforcement, and security logging.
- Communications — messages you send to our support team
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Create and manage your account and credit balance
- Process deposits and withdrawals in compliance with financial regulations
- Verify your eligibility to participate in paid competitions (age, jurisdiction)
- Detect and prevent fraud, cheating, collusion, and unauthorized access
- Enforce restricted-jurisdiction rules (see our Terms of Service, Section 7)
- Record match outcomes for provably-fair verification and dispute resolution
- Improve platform performance, matchmaking, and game fairness
- Comply with legal obligations including tax reporting (IRS Form 1099 where applicable) and anti-money-laundering (AML) requirements
- Send transactional communications (deposit confirmations, withdrawal notifications, security alerts)
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Payment Processing — Stripe
All payment processing on Paigon is handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 compliant payment processor. When you make a deposit, you enter your card details directly into Stripe's secure form. Paigon never sees, transmits, or stores full card numbers, CVVs, or expiration dates.
Stripe may collect and use your payment information in accordance with their own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. By using Paigon's deposit feature, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
4. Firebase and Google Services
Paigon uses Firebase (a Google product) for authentication, real-time database storage, and infrastructure. Your account data is stored in Firebase Firestore and processed in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Firebase data is stored in Google Cloud data centers in the United States.
5. Financial Record Retention
Transaction records — including deposit amounts, withdrawal amounts, match entry fees, and payout records — are retained for a minimum of 5 years for tax reporting, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance purposes. This applies even if you close your account. Non-financial personal data is deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Firebase security rules restricting database read/write access to authenticated, authorized users only
- No storage of payment card details (handled by Stripe)
- IP-based fraud monitoring and anomaly detection
No online platform can guarantee absolute security. If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion — Request deletion of your account and personal data (subject to financial record retention requirements above)
- Portability — Request your game and account data in a portable format
- Opt-out — Unsubscribe from non-transactional communications at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies & Local Storage
Paigon uses browser local storage and session storage to maintain authentication state and user preferences (such as mute settings). We use Firebase Authentication cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We do not participate in ad networks or behavioral tracking.
9. Minors
Paigon is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has created an account, we will terminate the account and delete associated data promptly. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. For material changes — particularly those affecting how we handle financial or payment data — we will provide at least 14 days' advance notice via email before changes take effect. Continued use of Paigon after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
